End of the month reports are a critical time for our company. It’s when our firm provides essential figures and feedback to clients in preparation for the next sales month. It involves deep analysis, calculations and strategic planning. Basically, Uber focus and concentration.
During reporting week, I am on “Do Not Disturb.” I’m sure many of you can relate as well. For our three daughters though, this signals “ask mom about everything” time. I’m not sure why children feel the need to bypass their fathers only to ask us moms something they could’ve clearly asked dad, nonetheless, they do this every time. While we’re diligently working to help female business owners determine month over month sales growth, a kid will ask me a super silly question. Out the blue. Random questions with zero substance.
Now don’t get me wrong, I absolutely adore our three beautiful daughters (14, 11, & 7). In saying that, I think it’s about time for them to share the love with their dad. Ask him awkward questions sometimes. Not only would I chuckle at his bewildered facial expression, work projects will be completed without interruption. Sounds like a win-win for this mom.
